The Emergency Veterinary Clinic is a fully-equipped emergency hospital and referral center for dogs and cats located in Catonsville, Maryland. The Emergency Veterinary Clinic operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a veterinarian and support staff present at all times.
EVC has provided emergency veterinary care in the Maryland area for almost 30 years. Initially, EVC was located in Halethorpe on Route 1 and there was one veterinarian working overnights and weekends to help critically injured and sick pets as well as local veterinarians' critical cases. In 1989, EVC moved to the present location in Catonsville. As demand for services increased, EVC has grown to a multi-dcotor practice and operates 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
EVC provides many diagnostic services including but not limited to in-house blood, urine and fecal analysis, x-ray, blood-gas analysis, ultrasounds, and endoscopy.
Our ICU manages critical patients including patients referred from local veterinarians. EVC provides oxygen supplementation, fluid therapy, blood transfusions, blood pressure monitoring, and much more. EVC staff provide high-quality critical care monitoring and exceptional patient care.
